Updated Memorial Day, 2000

Veterans Day 1999 is past now, but  I found Beetle Bailey very appropriate the Sunday before Veterans Day. After seeing Saving Private Ryan I was moved to make some kind of effort towards thanking the men and women who gave their all for the freedoms we take so much for granted today.  Please read on after you've seen the 'comic'.

There is now a National Movement towards building a Memorial to all the WWII Veterans. Each year more of these brave men and women pass on to their final  reward. (Since last Veterans Day we have lost 360,000 WWII Vets )

The goal  is to have this Memorial  built before all the people it will honor have joined their comrades in the Heavenly Memorial. Please visit the World War II Memorial web site to read more about this worthy endeavor.  After you see the Artist's Rendition of the Proposed Memorial, scroll down and click the icon on the bottom of this page to go to the WWII Memorial web site.  Scroll a little further to read about one Soldier's Story ( My Uncle ) and read some of the things I've found and feel are special about Our Military and Our Freedom

There are countless heroes whose stories will never be told or known. My Uncle is a WWII Vet who chose to tell his story. Click the icon  below  to read more about it
